Schisandra chinensis is a deciduous woody vine native to forests of Manchuria (Northern China) and Siberia. Its berries are used in traditional Chinese medicine, where it is considered one of the 50 fundamental herbs.
Schisandra is used as an “adaptogen” for increasing resistance to disease and stress, increasing energy, and increasing physical performance and endurance. It can prevent early aging and increase lifespan, normalize blood sugar and blood pressure, stimulate the immune system and speed-up post-op recovery.
