What is L(+)-Ascorbic acid
Vitamin C is a strong reducing agent with antioxidant effects. Since vitamin C is an optically active molecule, it can be divided into left-handed and right-handed according to its optical rotation. L(+)-Ascorbic acid is the only form of vitamin C that can be directly absorbed by human skin. It promotes collagen proliferation, repairs UV damage to the skin, and diminishes melanin.
