Polydatin98% polygonum cuspidatum/japanese knotweed/fallopia japonica extracts, with antiviral, antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, neuroprotective, cardioprotective properties.Polygonum cuspidatum, also known as fallopia japonica, japanese knotweed, hu zhang or Mexican bamboo is a large, herbaceous perennial plant of the family Polygonaceae, native to East Asia. It's root is widely recommended by Chinese Traditional Medicine for lowered immunity, cardiovascular conditions (such as atherosclerosis, high cholesterol and various heart diseases), digestion problems (including constipation and gallstones) and hepatitis. Other uses include cancer prevention, skin burns, osteomyelitis, gout, painful menstrual periods and menopausal symptoms.
Resveratrol extracted from polygonum cuspidatum can be used to reduce the risk of heart disease, to treat atherosclerosis, lowering "bad" (LDL) cholesterol levels, increasing "good" (HDL) cholesterol levels, and to prevent cancer by killing cancerous cells. Studies have shown it protects lungs against cigarette smoke damage.
